I have a short memory and I forget things. Especially in trips. Last month, when i went to Amsterdam for an official trip, I kept my passport in safelock. The problem is, how do i ensure I will not forget it while checking out. Ofcourse, I created a task in Calendar. But with task overload, It is not sufficient.
That moment, I tried a small hack. I decided to keep one thing which I need to use everyday in the safelock. I have two watches. One is a formal watch and other a smart watch. When I goto office, I wear formal watch. Once I am back from office and in morning, I wear smart watch. I decided to keep the watch I am not wearing the in the safe lock with my passport. This helps in multiple ways
- I will not forget the safe passcode.
- I keep seeing passport everyday twice. So i need not worry where I have kept.
- While checking out, When i search for watch, I will definately see my passport and the chances of losing are very less.
